Frequently Asked

What does the veterinarian look at during an exam?

During a comprehensive pet exam, our veterinarians will examine your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, skin, listen to their heartbeat, and discuss any concerns you may have.

How often should I bring my pet into the vet?

We recommend pet’s should be brought in bi-annually or more to check for any health issues. Many illnesses and diseases go undetected by owners until apparent symptoms are showing. By being proactive, rather than reactive, about your pet’s health will ensure they live a long, healthy life.

What vaccines does my pet need?

The core vaccines we administer to dogs include, distemper, parvovirus, bordetella and rabies. Non-core vaccines are given depending on your pet’s risk of exposure or lifestyle. Non-core canine vaccines include lyme disease, leptospirosis, and canine influenza.

Our core cat vaccines include feline distemper (FVRCP) and rabies. We also offer feline leukemia vaccine (FELV).

Why should I spay/neuter my pet?

Spaying/neutering your pet helps prevent the risk of cancer, as well as helps behavioral problems! One study found that spayed female dogs lived 26.3% longer and neutered male dogs lived 13.8% longer than pets that were intact. For cats, those percentages are even higher with spayed cats living 39% longer and neutered cats living 62% longer. Along with the health benefits to fixing your pet, in Las Vegas it is also required by law that dogs and cats must be spayed or neutered.

Why our clients love us

★★★★★

We’ve followed Dr. Monaco when she went to Providence and Seven Hills. She’s the best!

I recommend her to everyone, she’s been doing acupuncture on our Pug for several years now and what a difference that has made.

Best veterinary hospital I have been in. They did cleaning to my dog’s teeth and surgery to a nodule on her neck, she is fine now! Great care and they followed up with her post-op.

Today, my Great Dane had to undergo what I consider emergency surgery, and no questions asked Dr. Redding took care of it. Before surgery, she was beyond thorough on his fluids and X-rays making sure he was in his best shape, and making sure what happened was actually necessary before performing the surgery. She made it as smooth and comfortable as possible. Dr. Redding did an incredible job at caring and taking care of my boy.
